RenoFriend is a new home renovation marketplace — built around the needs and timeline of your exact job. It's simple — film a walkthrough video, add job details, and our project scanner turns it into a detailed Scope for contractors to offer on. Then, compare estimates and pick your winning contractor to exchange contact information. No more getting spam calls, messaging 5 different pros, or setting times for multiple site visits.
Narrate a short walkthrough video describing your renovation, and a few photos of the area. Enter info on timeline, materials, and budget. The more you capture and describe, the more detailed your Scope will be.
Your Scope shows an exhaustive plan for your renovation. You can manually edit any line to add clarifications or change your mind about a finish, a fixture, or a section of the work. You can also chat with our assistant to adjust the plan in plain English until it reads exactly the way you want.
When your Scope looks right, publish to your local contractor network. Contractors see a clear, detailed description of what you want. Posting is free, and you're never obligated to move forward with anyone who responds.
Qualified local contractors review your Scope and submit offers. You'll see ratings, past-project reviews, availability and timeline, strengths and specialties, and a ballpark estimate. It's about finding the right fit for your home, not just the lowest number on the page.
When you're ready, choose the contractor who feels like the best fit. We introduce the two of you and you take it from there — schedule a walkthrough if needed, agree on a start date, and move forward together. No middle-manning, no pressure, no hidden steps.
After the work is done, leave a review describing your experience — the communication, the quality, and how the final result measures up. Great reviews help your contractor earn more jobs and help future homeowners find someone they can trust. You can also share finished photos to showcase the transformation.
What does it cost?
RenoFriend is completely free for homeowners — free to build your Scope, free to post it to the marketplace, and free to pick your winner. Contractors who bid but don't win pay nothing either. Only the one contractor you select is invoiced a small Win-Only Lead Fee — you're never out of pocket.
Do I need an account to get a Scope?
No. You can generate a Scope without an account. You'll need to sign up to post your project to the marketplace and receive contractor estimates.
Can I use my Scope outside of RenoFriend?
Yes. Your Scope is yours to keep. Use it to get outside quotes, negotiate with contractors you already know, or simply understand what the job involves before you talk to anyone.
How accurate is the Scope?
It's built from your specific photos and video — not a template. Contractors tell us our Scopes routinely match their own walk-through assessments. And if something isn't quite right, you can manually edit any part of the Scope yourself, or ask our assistant to make the clarifications for you.
What if I don't like any of the estimates?
You're never obligated to hire anyone. Browse all estimates, ask questions, and decide at your own pace. If nothing feels right, you can hold off — and your Scope stays ready for whenever you'd like to revisit it.
When RenoFriend marketplace launches, you'll be able to send it to local contractors.

An end-to-end project management platform for investors running flips, rehabs, and rentals. Build a Scope on any property you're evaluating, send it to your trusted Circle or the open marketplace, and run the active job from one place — project scope, expenses, schedules, receipts, and a record of every project you manage.
Write your scope from scratch, upload one from a contractor you work with, or use the Project Scanner to generate a room-by-room Scope from a short walkthrough video. Refine any line manually or ask the assistant to adjust it until it reflects exactly what you want.
Post your Scope to the open marketplace with your own criteria — max bid, timeline, material preferences, scope boundaries — and let local contractors place offers. Or send it privately to your Circle of trusted contractors; if someone you want to work with isn't on the platform yet, inviting them takes one click.
Every contractor profile on your project shows timeline, past-project reviews, portfolio of previous work, availability, and their estimate — so you can compare the full picture, not just price. It's always free for investors to hire. On the open marketplace, only the winning contractor pays a one-time Win-Only Lead Fee. Inside a Circle, all bids and interactions are free for both sides.
Once a job is active, RenoFriend becomes your command center. Your contractor logs updates, receipts, and expenses into the job; you keep a running record of reimbursements and payments (we never hold money). Group-message your team, track notes per property, and attach photos or docs to any line. When the job wraps, everything's organized for taxes, resale, or your next flip.
When the project wraps, before-and-afters bring your portfolio to life. Document each property's full arc — original condition, scope of work, and the final result — so you can prove the play to lenders, partners, and future buyers. Reviews of your contractor stay attached to the project too, building the network of trusted pros you'll come back to on every deal.
RenoFriend is free for investors. Post jobs, manage active projects, track costs, and build your Circle of trusted contractors — all at no charge. Only winning contractors on open-marketplace jobs pay a Win-Only Lead Fee.
What's the benefit?
Running a job through the project scanner saves hours compared to drafting a scope of work manually. We generate strict finish criteria for your job too, to make expectations for your contractor crystal clear. Our marketplace and fee structure is the first of its kind, when contractors give estimates on your specific job online, and contractors only pay for high-intent, won leads, both parties save time and money.
Can I use RenoFriend on a property I haven't purchased yet?
Yes. Many investors run a Scope during open houses or inspection periods to model renovation costs before making an offer.
What's the difference between my Circle and the open marketplace?
Your Circle is a private network of contractors you've personally invited and trust. Circle bids, messages, and collaboration are always free. The open marketplace connects you with new verified contractors in your area — it's free to post and pick your winner, and only the winning contractor pays a Win-Only Lead Fee.
How do Win-Only Lead Fees work?
Only the winning contractor on an open-marketplace job pays a fee. Contractors who bid and lost pay nothing. Circle bids carry no fee at all.
Does RenoFriend hold my payments to contractors?
No. RenoFriend never holds funds. You pay your contractor directly — we just help you track payments, receipts, and reimbursements so your project stays organized.
Can I invite contractors who aren't on RenoFriend yet?
Yes. If a contractor you want to work with isn't on the platform, you can invite them to join your Circle in a couple of taps and collaborate with them through RenoFriend from day one.

Get notified the moment you can send your Scope to local contractors.
RenoFriend is the first lead marketplace of its kind — every job in your feed comes with a detailed Scope already written, so you know what you're bidding on before you spend a minute on it.
Add your specialties, service area, company info, a few past-project photos, and any license or insurance details you want homeowners to see. Add a credit or debit card at signup so the Win-Only Lead Fee can settle automatically the moment you win a job — no chasing invoices, no manual payments.
Every job on your feed arrives with a room-by-room Scope already built from the homeowner's photos and video — materials, scope, finish level, budget range, and timeline, all visible upfront. Filter by trade, zip code, and project size, and open any job to see the full spec before you decide if it's worth your time.
Bidding is free and unlimited. Submit your proposed timeline, highlight strengths as well as relevant specialties or certifications, give a ballpark estimate, and note any assumptions.
When the homeowner picks you as the sole winner, RenoFriend charges your Win-Only Lead Fee to your card on file — only if you win, and only once per job. At that moment, contact info opens up on both sides: you see the homeowner's phone and email, they see yours, so either of you can reach out directly to schedule the walkthrough and start the job. If you're invited to an investor's "Circle" of trusted contractors, bidding on and winning those jobs is entirely free.
Active-job tools keep the whole project in one place — message the homeowner, upload receipts, log expenses and reimbursements, post milestone updates, and track progress against the Scope as it evolves. We never hold any money; payment flows between you and the homeowner directly. RenoFriend just keeps the record straight.
When the work wraps, the homeowner rates you on four categories, each out of five stars: Quality of Work, Communication, Timeliness, and Value. Your scores show on your profile and shape how your bids rank in homeowner feeds. The better you perform, the more jobs you win — that's how RenoFriend keeps the best pros on top.
Bidding is always free. On open-marketplace jobs, only the winning contractor pays a Win-Only Lead Fee — contractors who bid and lost pay nothing. Jobs from investors who've personally invited you to their Circle carry no fee at all, ever. No monthly subscription, no retainer.
Do I pay anything to bid?
No. Bidding is free and unlimited. You only pay a Win-Only Lead Fee if the homeowner picks you as the sole winner on an open-marketplace job, and only once per job.
What's actually in my estimate besides price?
Your timeline, relevant specialties or certifications, and any assumptions (like "price assumes no asbestos abatement"). A stronger, more specific estimate wins more jobs than a lower number alone.
When does contact info get exchanged?
The moment the homeowner selects your bid. At that point both sides see each other's phone and email — either of you can reach out first to schedule the walkthrough.
How does the Win-Only Lead Fee work?
You add a credit or debit card once at signup. When you win an open-marketplace job, the Win-Only Lead Fee is charged automatically — no invoice to track, no manual steps. You never pay a lead fee on Circle jobs.
What is a Circle?
A Circle is a private network of contractors a real estate investor has personally invited. Circle jobs carry no Win-Only Lead Fee at all. Ask past clients to add you to their Circle to build a steady stream of fee-free work.
What am I rated on?
Quality of Work, Communication, Timeliness, and Value — each scored out of five stars by the homeowner after the job is done. Your scores live on your profile and influence how your bids rank on future jobs.
Does RenoFriend hold the homeowner's payment?
No. All payments flow between you and the homeowner directly. RenoFriend just tracks expenses, receipts, and milestones so both sides stay on the same page.
What trades does RenoFriend support?
All residential renovation trades — general contracting, kitchen and bath, flooring, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, tile, and more.
